Clinton Portis Can Blog My Ass

I prefer to think Clinton Portis is a new media naif and not so self obsessed that he believes this stuff

On the John Thompson Show on Dan Snyder Radio ESPN 980 on Thursday Redskins tailback Clinton Portis seemed to bristle at the notion that he and OJ Simpson were now related forever with the questionable statistic that Clinton and OJ are the only two tailbacks ever to run for 120 or more yards in five consecutive games twice in their careers.

As if somehow the murderer and kidnapper in OJ was going to rub off on Clinton. And he retorted that there would be a blog up somewhere that called for the Redskins to cut Clinton for this reason.

Clinton if I may, I hope this was supposed to be funny, and funny in the sense that attaching blog to anything makes it ironic and not funny in the way that you see all blogs as antagonistic. If you are going to make jokes at the blogs' expense that's fine, just throw us a bone once in a while, there are tens of thousands of eyeballs a week looking for news about you from sweaty basement dwellers like me and the other Redskins bloggers, and we are all Redskins fans.
