Note to Jim Zorn on Uniforms

Don't go changin baby. I mean it.

As I was perusing Matt Terl's awesome ORB (Official Redskins Blog), I came across an interview with Brad Berlin, the Redskins equipment manager since Marty Schottenheimer in 2001. In this interview we learned a bit about the Redskins uniform plans for this season. First we learned there are no throwback or alternate unis planned for this season, and that the team goes through a thousand pounds of ice during a game.

Here's the important part:

Matt Terl: Along those lines, Gibbs seemed to prefer the white jersey with the burgundy pants. Some players have claimed to prefer the burgundy jerseys with white pants. Any idea how things will go this year?

Brad Berlin: We’ll be wearing the white jerseys with the burgundy pants at home until, I think, the Pittsburgh game. After that, burgundy with white pants. Coach Zorn thinks it will help with the heat.

The Pittsburgh game is 3 November and the team will still have three home games to go. I'd like to take a second to remind and or inform Jim Zorn that the Redskins' preferred uniform is ALWAYS white jerseys with burgundy pants. In 2005 the Redskins had a dalliance with white/white that I am glad is over and I NEVER want to see burgundy/burgundy.

Many teams prefer to wear their colored jerseys (Dallas excepted) at home, meaning the Redskins get to wear their preferred unis at all home games and most away games.

Let's keep it that way coach, no burgundy/white at home, that is not the Redskins good luck look.
