Everyone's a Redskin while they wear the uniform

WaPo training camp tracker: free agent DE Kevin Huntley, lifelong Redskins fan; Jim Zorn's blue Sharpie; Jason Campbell is not an early riser
One injury to report today, free agent signee tailback Eric Shelton who was the leading rusher in yesterday's intrasquad scrimmage, hurt his neck, it is described as a stinger. And thus does the Redskins list of injuries start to get long. Anthony Montgomery's and Rian Wallace's estimated outages for their hand injuries suffered yesterday have been extended from 10 to 14 days to a month (op. cit.).
The afternoon practice was canceled. Rookie mistake scheduling a two a day after a full pads scrimmage yesterday.
In linebacker town middle linebacker London Fletcher has become what we all knew he would be: the leader of the defense. And as such London will be the only Redskins player designated to wear a radio for the defense (op. cit. and op. cit.). This means the coaches consider London an every down kind of player, which they do. If London is not available then the team either will designate another player.
In receiver estates, Billy McMullen (Wahoowa!) had a good practice, with so many WRs on the roster it will be hard for Billy to make the team, good luck.
In tight end township an undrafted rookie free agent that likely will not make the team spent some time signing autographs.
Jason La Canfora at the WaPo finally comments on WTEM SportsTalk ESPN Redskins 980 shitcanning Redskins beat reporter Jerry Coleman and asks a really good question about who's running the shop at Red Zebra if there was no broadcast from Redskins Park the day of the Jason Taylor trade and no soundbites or interview clips the next morning. Jason, this would be why they needed to buy WTEM in the first place. What we are now experiencing is that you cannot simply buy competence. WTEM is headed into the terlet.
Damn Brian Mulholland at Hog Heaven went longform on defensive ends. Greg Trippiedi then compares Jason Taylor to... Bruce Smith.
Matt Terl at the ORB (Official Redskins Blog) quotes some players about how awsum it was to have 20 thousand fans come out yesterday. They are all rookies.
